Here is the costume I made for the Arrow of Light Ceremony. We had 16 boys from the pack crossing over into Boy Scouts, and all of them worked hard and earned their Arrow of Light Award. (For those that don't know - the Arrow of Light is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn!) I can't believe that next year will be Colin's last year in Cubs. It seems like just yesterday he started as a Tiger Cub.
The headdress is made of 80 wild turkey feathers and a fox pelt. The costume was copied from a book on Authentic Iroquois Costume that we found. I'd like to keep adding to it in time. This year I didn't have much time for beading.
