Well, despite everyone's best guesses, it sure looks like we are going to end up with a third boy! The newest Hood family member was being trouble through the entire ultrasound except for when it came time to show off the "parts". :-) Unlike my first two boys, this one is lying transverse (side-to-side) with his back pressed way up into my ribcage. The poor ultrasound tech had her hands full trying to get the images she needed. From what we could tell, everything looked good. As always, the baby is measuring a little more than a week ahead of schedule. And unlike my other two babies, this one had feet! The way Dutton and Colin were positioned in my pelvis, we could never see their feet on the ultrasounds.
So, onward we proceed! Despite being incredibly moody and tearful, I'm doing pretty well. I'm not having the trouble this time with my pelvis like I did with Dutton - probably because the baby is nice and high. I am, however having quite a bit of trouble with my vision. Black text on a white background is nearly impossible for me to read. Unfortunately, probably 90% of the text out there is black on white! *sigh* I have never had trouble with my near vision before, so it is quite disconcerting to me!
I think Jim is resigned to being a Cub and Boy Scout leader forever, and I'll have to spoil my nieces with the frilly girly things that I was thinking about making, but that's OK! I've learned a lot about boys with the first two and feel well prepared for another.
