Sharing the Love

As Emerson gets bigger and healthier, we are able to hold him more often and for longer periods of time. To me, this also means I don't have to be so "stingy" with my time with him and can let other people give him some loving too! Saturday, while I took the other boys to the fiber festival to see the animals, Jim and his mom spent some quality time with Emerson. From the pictures, it certainly looks like they all enjoyed the visit.
They are coming down on the flow rate of his "FP" (the high flow nasal cannula) and his O2. Jim and I have asked that they cut back on the number of times they try to bottle feed him a day because he just isn't gaining weight as fast as they would like and drinking from a bottle burns a lot of calories for him right now. I don't have today's weight yet, but he was up to 1985 g yesterday. (Roughly 4lbs 6oz) We are making great progress towards finally coming home. I wouldn't be surprised if they started talking about his hernia surgery soon.
