Well... we seem to be in the final stretch. Emerson flew through his hernia surgery on Monday and is doing great. He has taken all of his feeds and meds by mouth since he started eating again after his surgery. He has been event free for 9 days, been in an open crib and maintaining his temperature well for weeks, and is gaining weight (slowly!) I'm not sure what is left. Originally, they had said they wanted to get his meds down a bit before coming home but the pulmonary docs decided they would rather not make a change at the last minute. So, we sit and wait... Home soon? (we hope!)
