It can't possibly be Thanksgiving week, can it?

There is no way that it can possibly be Thanksgiving already, can it? The last 4 months have just vanished. It was July 22nd when I went into the hospital. I'm going to blink and find that it is 2009 already!
I got to run away from home for about three hours this afternoon. I think it was the first time I had been away from Emerson since he came home from the hospital. I met my next door neighbor at Starbucks for coffee then I went shopping for a new dress for Jim's work Christmas party. I have lined up a NICU nurse to babysit that night so I can have a date with my hubby.
Emerson has been doing pretty well since he came home Wednesday evening. It is becoming pretty clear to us as he takes larger and larger volumes at a feed that he does have reflux and that it isn't well controlled on the meds he is currently on. We'll see what the GI docs have to say on the 1st. In the meantime we are going to keep his head elevated and try to help him keep from overeating.
This week we have a pediatrician appointment and a home visit follow-up for one of the research studies we are participating in. I'll post new photos and an updated weight soon.
