As of about noon on Saturday, Emerson has been re-admitted to the hospital - this time he was to big to return to the NICU, so he is in the PICU. He is still intubated at the moment, but they are turning his rate down and hope to get him off the vent soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it does well.
The PICU is really nice. The rooms are private and huge, so I am staying tonight. My hope is he will wake up and need to eat here eventually. They turned off the sedation medications a few hours ago and he still isn't really waking up.
I apologize if I have a bunch of typos on this post. They have internet access through the TV using something called the getwellnetwork, but my eyesight is so bad that I can barely read what I am typing.
