It can't possibly be December, can it?

Time for me has been standing still since the middle of July. It has only started advancing again since about Thanksgiving. I feel even more unprepared for Christmas than ever. We tried putting up our (artificial) tree last night and for some reason Jim had a really bad allergy reaction to it. I don't know if it was just the dust of it now being the 9th year we were using it, or if it grew some mold or mildew when it got wet in our little basement flood problem a month ago. Either way, we couldn't leave it up. We had to take it down and get it out of the house entirely. Now I don't know what we are doing... looks like we might have to go tree shopping tonight.

We had a really nice weekend. Jim's company Holiday party was Saturday night at the Convention Center. They did it up really nice and even with Jim having to "work" the party as the Snow King, I had a nice time. We were so grateful to have a NICU nurse babysit for us so we could go out.

Sunday morning was the annual Breakfast with Santa at church put on by the Girl Scouts. We picked a time to go that is typically quiet and really enjoyed bumping into a few friends. Dutton and Emerson seemed to enjoy visiting with Santa. (Colin stayed home in bed - he's turning into such a teenager!)
