The latest update on me and baby

I had another appointment with the doctor today. She is following me extremely closely (weekly) at this point. My cervix has continued to shorten. It is down to about 1 cm. As a result, my activity has been limited even more with me spending as much time in a horizontal position each day as possible. I'm still allowed to be up for some of the day, including bathroom trips and meals. Outings have to be limited at this point.

It is so hard to have the nesting urge going on while at the same time not being able to do anything about it. I appreciate everything Jim and Colin have been doing in this regard. Sunday I felt like I was ordering the two of them around for two hours. In that time they got the kitchen cleaned, the floors vacuumed and mopped, and the bathrooms cleaned. Thanks tons guys!!! I love you both.

We really have nothing done at this point towards getting a room ready for the baby. As of tomorrow, Jim will be in town for the rest of the calendar year, so he is hoping to take some time off from work to get things done around the house.

I know it will be what it will be. We are still hoping and praying to get to 34 weeks (October 29th.) If I am careful, we may have a good chance at it. So far, I'm two weeks further along than I got with Colin!
