I love the details in the trim work. I have some crown moulding and quarter round to install as well when I am finished with the rest of the build.
The bay window was tricky to put together, and I didn't quite get everything lined up just right, but it fits in the space it is supposed to go and looks pretty good.
Before I installed the roof panels, I marked the lines for my shingles. Hopefully, that will make that process go smoother. I have read blogs by other builders that said the shingles alone took them 12 hours! I am hoping it goes a bit faster than that!
This is pretty much where I stopped today. I had the main dormer together, but I had the two side pieces reversed so it slanted away from the house instead of towards it. OOPS! More than one person has asked me why I am building this. For me, right now, it is about the challenge of the build, not the finished product. I am not sure what I will do with it when I am finished. I may sell it, donate it for a fundraiser, give it to someone, or even keep it. I am not sure, but I am enjoying the build, and that is what matters to me at the moment,
